This is the instrumental backing track to a piece of music that I created for the charity album "Everybody Love Everybody". The album raised money to help provide legal support to those affected by the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020: retropromenade.bandcamp.com/album/everybody-love-everybody.
The original version was created around some rousing and inspirational speeches made by protesters. I always liked the funk and attitude of this groove, and thought it deserved to have its own moment in the spotlight. However, I wasn't sure how best to release it, until now.
